Mount Brandon Hostel is located at the foot of Brandon Mountain along the Dingle Way. The hostel is situated in one of the most scenic and unspoiled regions of Ireland. A hill walker’s paradise for both the discerning hill walkers and the casual walkers, it affords you breathtaking views of both the valleys and hills surrounding the mountain and Birdseye views of Tralee Bay and its fantastic beaches, which are only minutes from your surroundings.
The area is also renowned for its fishing, both river, lake and sea, offering you an experience you will not forget.
Cloghane
This area is steeped in archaeological treasures, which adds an extra dimension to your visit. Riding the waves is one of the favourite pastimes of those who enjoy the surf and the beaches surrounding the bay are some of the best available in Ireland and enjoyed yearly by many from far and near
The lodge itself is located in the picturesque village of Cloghane where an intimate atmosphere awaits you. The lodge has a total of 39 beds presently and these consist of twin rooms and dorms, which are all en-suite, and two twin bed dorm, which is also en-suite.
The self-catering kitchen/dinning room is fully equipped and spacious and has panoramic views of the bay. Relax in our lounge, with its open fires, and watch the waves break in the bay, an idyllic setting. Or treat yourself to SHIATSU, HOMEOPATHY & CRANIO SACRAL THERAPY
The area offers a host of entertainment, co-located with Tig Tomsí traditional Irish Pub, where you can dine or simply enjoy a good pint of Guinness and listen to the magical sounds of our traditional Irish music, which is performed, live a number of nights per week, both winter and summer.
Maharess & Castlegregory
Enjoy the scenic beach walks and horse riding or windsurfing, surfing and fishing. The World Windsurfing Grand Prix is held here every October. Castlegregory has restaurants, a supermarket and post offices and 7 pubs.
Dingle
Drive through the Connor Pass to visit the scenery, restaurant, pubs and nightlife. Dingle is home to the famous Dolphin Funghi. In May every year there is the Feile na Bealtaine - Dingle Cultural Arts Festival.
Tralee
With major shopping centres, banks, Train & Bus station and Kerry Airport 15 minutes away. Tralee also offers the Aqua Dome and the medieval experience.
